Hi loves! I can finally share with you my exciting partnership with David’s Bridal! As some of you may know, my wedding is in March. Finding the perfect dress could be scary, nerve-racking, and even stressful. But luckily, David’s Bridal has a way to make that process a lot smoother, and more exciting, with their “Meet the Stylist” experience. How does it work? Well, I’ll take you through my own personal one, to show you how easy and fun it was.
I walked into the David’s Bridal in Paramus, NJ with an appointment at 6pm. As soon as I walked in, I felt the warm welcome from the stylist I was working with. She was expecting me and was there waiting exactly on time! She asked me to fill out some question forms about my wedding, groom, family, bridal party ect. My stylist’s name was Thea, and she was the sweetest! After I was finished filling out my forms, she took me upstairs into the bridal room, where I see hundreds of dresses and accessories hung up around the entire room. (a real bridal heaven!) I had my own station where I put my stuff down and where I would be trying on gowns. My door even had my name on it! What I loved most about this experience, was how personal it was, I truly felt like I was the only bride there, and the attention was only on me.
Thea then took me around, asking me if I had any pictures of what I had in mind, or any specific styles I had in mind. I told her I had never tried on wedding gowns so I was basically open to anything. We went around the entire room, touching, feeling, and choosing some dresses I wanted to try on. Thea was super helpful, and patient and was guiding me through each and every aisle. I chose about 10 dresses, and she hung them up in my room.
And now, it was time to play some dress up !!!! The first dress I tried on was a lace mermaid gown, that I felt wasn’t beaded enough for my taste, although it looked great on my petite build. I went through all the gowns, trying on different looks, silhouettes, and materials. I tried everything on from, fit & flare, trumpet, drop waist, and even some princess styles. It was so much fun to see how every dress fit me in different ways, and Thea was super helpful on letting me know what silhouettes would look best and grabbing belts and embellished hair pieces if I felt something looked too plain.
I haven’t officially chosen a dress yet, but I will tell you my absolutely favorite was something simple, but classic. The Vera Wang of course. Thea added a gorgeous embellished belt to my waist and I fell in love! Check out the pics below and get an idea of how the “Meet the Stylist” experience at David’s Bridal would make your bridal gown shopping a dream day!
